What it does
Ask the plainer question first
Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 has applied to large operators since 30 December 2025 and to small ones since 30 June 2026. Every consignment of coffee, cocoa, soya, palm oil, rubber, cattle products or wood needs a due diligence statement, and that statement needs the geolocation of every plot of land the material was produced on.
Before chasing a single coordinate, there is something cheaper to find out: whether this database could hold them at all.
Name the products in scope and the check reports what the configuration allows — and what has already left while it did not.
It turns on lot tracking, and nothing else
A plot of land is a property of the material, so it hangs off the lot or serial number the material carries. Goods of a product set to “No Tracking” ship without one — so there is nothing for the plot to hang off at the moment it matters, and no amount of chasing the supplier for coordinates will change that. It is a configuration problem wearing the clothes of a data problem.
The part that says how urgent it is
It also counts the deliveries in a period you choose that moved one of the products that cannot carry plot data. Turning tracking on today does not reach backwards: goods that have already shipped keep no lot they never had, so no statement can be assembled for those consignments after the fact.
A count of them is the difference between a to-do and a problem.

Stated up front so nothing about the scope is a surprise after you install it.
