How wrong the system was at the last inventory adjustment, per location and product, so cycle counts go where the stock actually drifts

Every inventory adjustment is a measurement: the gap between what Odoo believed was on the shelf and what somebody found there. Odoo posts the correction and moves on, so the gap itself - the only evidence of where the process leaks - is never added up anywhere.
Counting everything every quarter is how most warehouses answer that. It is expensive and mostly wasted, because the drift is not spread evenly.
The size of the error, what was left after it cancelled out, and which locations carry it.
What it does
Error and net are different numbers
A company that loses a hundred pounds of stock in one bay and finds a hundred in another has a net of nothing and a real problem. Both are reported: the size of the error regardless of direction tells you how far to trust the records, and only the leftover is a loss.
Where to send the counters
Broken down by location and product, with how many adjustments each has had and when the last one was. The findings name the locations carrying most of the error - count those more often than the rest, rather than everything equally.
It tells shrinkage from misplacement
A product adjusted both up and down in the same period is called out separately. Stock going missing in one place and appearing in another is a putaway or picking problem, and counting harder will not fix it.
Only real adjustments count
The moves Odoo itself creates when a count is applied - not deliveries, receipts, transfers or scrap. Those are ordinary stock movement rather than the records being wrong, and counting them would make the busiest location look like the leakiest one.
Attributed where somebody counts
To the internal location that was counted, never to the virtual loss account where Odoo posts the other half and where nobody has ever counted anything. A period with no adjustments says so plainly rather than reporting zero error - nothing counted and every count agreeing look identical from here.
