Accessibility Auditor
Real WCAG violations, found in your rendered pages - not another overlay widget
The video below shows Accessibility Auditor running on a real Odoo 19 database. Want it driven against your own data, or a question answered first? Ask and we will set up a session.
The EU Accessibility Act, enforceable since June 2025, requires e-commerce sites serving EU consumers to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, with fines up to 500,000 euros. Odoo ships a free accessibility widget - contrast, grayscale, and text-size toggles - but that's a visitor-facing overlay, not a fix: it never touches the underlying markup, and EAA enforcement guidance treats overlays as legally insufficient on their own. This app scans your actual published pages - the real rendered HTML your visitors see, not the template source - and finds concrete, fixable violations: images with no alt text, form fields with no label, skipped heading levels, missing page language, links with no accessible text, and vague link text like "click here." A rescan automatically closes issues that have been fixed.
What it does
Scans what visitors actually see
The check fetches your real published pages and parses the rendered output - dynamic content, header, and footer included - not the QWeb template source, which can hide or misrepresent what actually reaches the browser.
Every check is exact, none are guesses
Color contrast is deliberately left out of this version - doing it correctly needs a full CSS cascade and a real rendering engine, and a half-correct contrast checker is worse than none. Every check this app does perform is exact.
