Odoo already has a public-download mechanism for attachments ( generate_access_token ) and a portal-sharing wizard for inviting someone to a record's full portal page - but neither gives you a plain "copy a direct link to this file" button. This app adds exactly that to the attachment box every chatter already shows, so anyone with edit access can hand someone a working download link in one click - no portal invite, no manual URL, no new screen to learn.
What it does
Works on any attachment, anywhere
Every chatter in Odoo - contacts, sales orders, invoices, projects, tickets - shows the same attachment box. This app patches that one component, so the button shows up everywhere attachments already live, not just in one app.
No portal invite, no email flow
Odoo's own portal-share wizard sends an email invite to a full portal page - overkill for "just send me the file." This copies a direct, public download URL to your clipboard instantly, nothing else happens.
Desktop and mobile
A hover button on desktop, and the same action in the mobile Actions dropdown - both call the exact same native access-token mechanism, so the link behaves identically either way.
Zero new models, zero new tables
This app adds no Python model and no database table - it's a small, targeted UI patch that calls a public-download mechanism Odoo already ships. Nothing new to maintain, nothing new to migrate.
Verified against the real download route
Confirmed end-to-end against a running Odoo instance, not just checked in isolation: clicking the button genuinely calls ir.attachment.generate_access_token() (a real token lands on the record), and the exact copied URL was opened fresh and correctly served the real file - the same public, no-login route Odoo's own access-token mechanism has always supported.
