Lets an admin write a popup message (announcement, maintenance notice, policy reminder) shown once to each backend user, within a chosen date range. Name one or more groups as the audience and only those users see it; leave the audience empty and everybody does. Nothing native covers admin-authored broadcast content - confirmed no overlap with Odoo's own login/expiration mechanisms before building.
Membership is read the way Odoo reads it everywhere else, so a group reached through an implying group still counts as being in the audience - an announcement aimed at a group most people hold indirectly would otherwise reach nobody.
